If you follow me on Instagram (@gabriellazacche) for a while, you’ll know by now that Proenza Schouler is one of my favorite brands! I was really sad when they announced that it was moving its show from NYFW to Paris Fashion Week – it was a GREAT loss for NYFW, and its organizers need to do something ASAP to stop losing so many talented American brands and designers to PFW. But that is for another post…..
Today I’ll show you guys here my favorite Proenza Schouler looks I wore this summer and how I styled them.
The first – and favorite, may I say – is this white dress. I really like the knit and it fits the body perfectly! It’s also hyper versatile, allowing you to style it for both day and night, work or just a walk by the Hudson River.
On this first one, I wanted a more sophisticated look, but still ‘summery’. The Chanel Boy bag and the Céline sunglasses worked on the elegance while the espadrilles gave the look a sassiness and a summer touch.
On this second look, I was just going for a walk with the hubby and the doggies, so I bet on the holiday mules and on the pom bag (that I, by the way, bought in Bali for $10).
This second look I wore to go to a baby shower of a close friend here in the City. The occasion asked for something casual, but still classic. But I’m never overly classic, and this next Proenza Schouler dress never disappoints. The cut is elegant and sophisticated, but the buttons along the skirt give it a stylish touch!
This last look I styled completely for an office look. Of course, the ideal thing for the summer is to just wear the dress with a pair of strap sandals. BUT, I wanted to go for the magazine-editor-look (LOL), so I layered!
