If there is one thing Mansur Gavriel knows best it’s how to make us curious. Throughout the week, the brand showed us small sneak peaks of its very first ready to wear collection, that debuted yesterday! For the launch, Floriana and Rachel chose to do a ‘see now, buy now’ collection, therefore showcasing their Fall 2017 pieces on the runway.
Although we could see complete looks on the runway, the brand is only selling now its outerwear and knitwear pieces, that are made from cashmere, wool, camel hair, mohair, and wool cashmere, which makes a lot of sense to the brand, who already sources its leather from mills in Italy (the Italian mills are also known for their quality knit!).
A great ‘registered mark’ for Mansur Gavriel is its color scheme, and that obviously reflected on the Ready to Wear collection. Although those are Fall 2017 pieces, we see not only grays, blacks, whites, camels and caramels, but also bright yellows and reds and a sky blue.
As one can imagine, the shapes are very much minimalistic, following the brand’s aesthetics and DNA. The oversized coats and cap shoulder sweaters were my absolute favorites!
The prices range between $295 for the short sleeve mohair crewneck sweater and go up to $1,095 for the oversized wool coat (unfortunately, my favorites are always the most expensive! LOL)
As Mansur Gavriel is known for its restrained supply to prioritize quality and exclusivity, it is very likely that the collection will sell out very soon. So, RUN!
