Gabriella Zacche, 28, originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I moved to New York City in 2015 to pursue my Masters’ degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Being born and Raised in Niteroi, a small town close to Rio, I never pictured myself living in such an amazing (and crazy) place such as NYC. Since I was young, I was always passionate about all things fashion, beauty and travel.
It was only when I was 20 that I realized that my passion could be a career and finally started to work in Marketing at a beauty multinational (it had nothing to do with my major in International Relations!). Realizing that there was so much information out there and that women could be so much more educated about their skin and health, I started my first blog (in Portuguese), to spread useful information to empower women. Fast-forward a few years, and my career took a direction towards fashion, when I had the opportunity to create my own RTW brand. Again, I found myself writing about my fashion finds on my blog.
Since I moved to NYC, I felt like I had to start fresh and write in English, so that my new friends would know what I was talking about too.
Without further ado, I want to use this space to talk about fashion from an industry standpoint, but at the same time, with all the fun of posting my looks, reviewing products, and reporting the latest trends and news! In the ‘NYC Life’ section, I hope to bring you all the amazing fashion experiences that the city offers, and tell you all about my favorite activities and experiences here!
