Most Instagram-Worthy Places in Oahu

Pinitmost instagrammable places oahu hawaii

It was about time I write a post about all the most Instagram-worthy locations in Oahu, right (oh, months later!)? So here I am, eating my gummy bears and finally putting this post together, with all my love, of course!

Hawaii was so special for me for SO many reasons… It was one of the most unique places I’ve ever been, with a landscape and an atmosphere, unlike anything I had ever seen. People just have different energy and pace there, and, I mean… ISLAND MUSIC, you guys!!!

I could spend years talking about how amazing Hawaii was, and even just do one post of the Instagram-worthy places in Hawaii altogether, but I decided to organize it by island, just because some people go and visit only one. So let’s begin with Oahu, shall we?

1 – The Sunrise Shack

If you’re heading to Pipeline or Sunset beach to watch.. em..the sunset, don’t forget to stop by the Sunrise Shack to have their amazing bullet coffee, a papaya with granola and a smoothie… and a picture!

2 – The Pillbox Trail

Due to my husband’s bad mood, we didn’t get to do the pillbox trail, which for me is one of the most beautiful places on the island, and perfect to see Lanikai beach from above. Don’t you make the same mistake!

3 – Lanikai Beach

For me, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Oahu, although it is honestly super crowded with tourists and has a very short sand area, making things even harder. My tip? Instagram it and leave to one of the 1 million beach spots along Oahu’s shoreline.

4 – Arvo Café

Oh boy, just because you NEED to Instagram that takeaway door! Also, their avocado toast is something not to be missed!

5 – Hanauma Bay

That was another place we were super unlucky to miss. We tried to go there on our first day, but the parking lot was full (really, you need to get there EARLY). On the second day, the park was closed due to high bacteria levels on the waters. SERIOUSLY, how unlucky are we? At least we could take some nice shots from above, but I would totally recommend trying to snorkel on the beach. According to Leo, it’s one of the best places he’s ever snorkeled!

6 – The Alohilani Infinity Pool

Ok, a bit of a bias here, since I stayed there. But, honestly, if you have a chance, check out the rooftop bar and the pool at the Alohilani Hotel, especially during the sunset! It’s just perfect!

7 – The Royal Hawaiian

This historic hotel occupies one of the most premium areas along the Waikiki beach shoreline, and the construction is breathtaking! I would definitely recommend a visit.

8 – Moana Surfrider

The Moana Surfrider is a historic hotel in Honolulu, and it’s definitely worth it to explore the place beyond the instagram-worthy locations in it. Inside, you will see a bunch of historic pictures and objects that tell the story of Honolulu.

9 – Pipeline/Sunset Beach

Don’t get too distracted with Waikiki, and get in your car and go check out the most amazing sunset at Pipeline or Sunset beach (one is literally next to the other), and get a glance at the surfers catching the most amazing waves and breathe the unique atmosphere of the place. It’s awesome.

10 – Kaaawa

We found this hidden spot on our way to North Shore and LOVED to spend some time there. There’s literally no one competing for space and the water is just beautiful.

11 – Waimanalo

The trail to the top of the lighthouse is totally worth it for the view! If you’re feeling adventurous, definitely go down to the natural pools! It’s beautiful!
