Ok, you asked, and I finally came up with my list of the most Instagram-worthy places in NYC! People ask me often on my Instagram where I take my pictures in the city, how I scout the places before I go, etc. So, now, I’ll try to tell it all to you in this post!

1 – Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo
Those two right here can’t possibly be out of any NYC list! They are a blogger’s best friend in all aspects (except that they are pretty crowded). If you are brave enough, you can wake up super early and try to make some shots with the empty bridge and you’ll be rewarded with amazing results. Right after the sun sets is also a great moment to go get a view of Manhattan lightened up.
Ps: To get the famous Dumbo shot, go to Washington Street!
2 – Oculus – Westfield Mall
Besides paying a beautiful homage to the 2001 tragedy, the Westfield mall incredible white structure also makes a great Instagram background! Whether you want an indoors picture inside it, or just to show the outside, you’ll DEFINITELY get your shot!
3 – Stone Street
It may sound strange to hear Wall Street area (that’s where Stone Street is) and Instagram worthy places in the same sentence, but, trust me, you need to go to this little street full of German beer gardens and street lights and try to do your best bokeh effect with them! It looks very European and not very New York-ish (gotta love NYC’s versatility).
4 – Exchange Place (Jersey City)
(Even though it’s Jersey, the view is to NY!) It looks farther than it actually is, I swear! Take a PATH train near Chamber St. and you’ll be in Exchange place in just a few and get a completely different perspective of the city (when you compare to Brooklyn or Governors Island, right on the other side of the Island.
5 – Lower East Side: Public Hotel and Mr. Purple
I don’t live there, but it’s my absolute favorite neighborhood in Manhattan. Back when NYC was building up, it used to be the place where many of the immigrants lived when they got to the city. It is one of the few neighborhoods that managed to maintain the New Yorker authenticity. Also, there are so many cool galleries, young people (rent used to be super low there) and also cool hotels with even cooler rooftops.
6 – Flatiron Building
Needless to say, Flatiron Builing is a mandatory stop for pictures in New York. Here are some of the best angles!
7 – Sprinkles’ Cupcake ATM
This little spot on the Upper East Side might go unnoticed for some passer bys walking on Lexington Avenue, but it’s definitely worth a shot!
8 – Top of the Rock
If I had to choose between Top of the Rock and Empire State, I would definitely choose the former over the latter. How can you get the perfect Empire State view being on the… Empire State? Am I right?
9 – Bow Bridge/Gapstow Bridge – Central Park
Those two bridges are definitely among my favorite places in the City, where we can get the green of the trees on Central Park along with a bunch of buildings to give a city vibe to your picture.
10 – Williamsburg Bridge
This underestimated bridge is the perfect pink backdrop to any picture! I just love how dramatic the arches of the bridge are and the vibrant colors!
