Hey guys!
Very excited to be back at my writing life to show you all my NYFW F/W 2019 outfits! It is always so challenging to dress for Fashion Week in February, since it’s insanely cold here in NYC this time of the year.
My mood board for this Fashion week was very focused on neutral tones, winter whites and greens (although that last one was very subtle). I purposely decided not to go too crazy and focus on outfits that anyone can wear and relate to, even if only in special occasions!
I’ll share with you my looks for the first 3 days of fashion week, just because I got sick on Days 4 and 5 and didn’t get to shoot my outfit. 🙁
NYFW Day 1
For the first day of NYFW, I was very restricted on my color palette and bet on a white, black and camel combination. The Balenciaga logo turtleneck + the sparkly belt kind of spoke for themselves and made a statement without the need of many colors to make the look stand out.
Also, whenever I know there will be street style photographers, I try to focus on using bottom pieces that really elongate the silhouette, since they normally use either 50mm or 85mm lenses, which, in comparison to my wide angle lens, kind of shortens me a bit.
And here’s a variation for this look if you don’t want to look too extra…
Day 2
On the second day of fashion week, it was a bit nicer out and I could finally wear a skirt. I went for this look because I had a lot of backstages that day (including Kate Spade), and needed a look that would go with those comfy yet stylish boots.
Also, this vintage Lacroix jacket from What Goes Around Comes Around really made my day.
Day 3
This was the day in which I had the most events, and also had to kind of move a bit from place to place, hence the same boots as day 2! LOL!
I love so much the statement that this skirt makes (although its irregular surface does make me look like I gained some weight), and how the combo top+skirt played with my proportions.
Hope you guys liked it!
xoxo
