If you’re a bit like me, organizing your things can always get a bit tough. Living in New York and having to deal with small closet spaces, I have to resort to a few closet organization hacks that I’m about to show you.
These items are super affordable and easy to find! I got most of them from Amazon and so can you. They made my life so much easier and my clothes easier to find and be seen in my closet,

Must-have closet organization essentials
Space-Saving Hangers
Starting in an order of importance here, the space saving hangers are my favorite item, and something anyone can start organizing their closets with.
They really save up SO much space, while making all your clothes visible and easy to spot.
Shelf Dividers
If you are just like me and have lots of handbags (especially if some of them can’t stand on their own) and not a lot of room to display them nicely outside the closet, these acrylic shelf dividers will definitely do the trick!
They’re aesthetically pleasing and will FOR SURE make your bags (or any other thing you’d want to divide) so much more organized.
Sunglasses organizers
Before I got those, I was constantly battling with myself to find and be able to see all my sunglasses at once. They were always hiding in sunglass cases (that were never the right ones for the styles I would put inside) and I would take forever to find the sunny I was looking for.
My particular favorites are the acrylic ones because you can have a better view of what’s inside, but the options are endless and I 100% recommend you get one!
Underwear and Socks organizers
If you have limited drawers in your closet, this is a great solution to save space. In my case, I’d always have my underwear and my socks spread inside the drawers, which always took up so much space. These organizers literally saved SO MUCH room.
You can even get these for the drawer to optimize the space in it.
Belt organizers
If you’re an accessories person just like me, you’ll definitely not want to skip getting belt organizers for your closet. They’re such a help in keeping your belts in shape and organizing them one on top of the other, making it so easy to spot everything you have.
My favorites are the acrylic case ones, but if you prefer to have them hung, there are plenty of options too!
Jewelry organizers
Again, as an avid accessories person, the jewelry organizers are a must-have for my closet organization. I love to have a mix of transparent acrylic jewelry organizers for my everyday jewelry and velvet boxes with key closures for my more valuable fine jewelry pieces.
An add-on would be the ones where you can hang your chains so they will never tangle!
Shoe organizers
I have super limited shelf space in my closets, which makes it almost impossible to store all my million pairs of shoes. The shelves I have are very tall, though, and I found that adding mini storage shelves really helped create room for more pairs.
I also love the shoe shelves you can put on the entryway (which is also a great way for guests to leave their shoes before coming in) and the shoe racks you can hang on your closet doors.
